Willis: National would lower taxes to help with cost of living

Fuel taxes will be slashed by 25 cents a litre for the next three months - and public transport fares halved - as the government acts to counter soaring petrol prices. Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern made the announcement yesterday, saying the invasion of Ukraine had unleashed a "global energy crisis", with the cost of all three petroleum fuel types rising to record highs.
