Power of the Dog producer thrilled at Jane Campion's Oscar

New Zealand's Dame Jane Campion won the award for best director at yesterday's Academy Awards for her film the Power of the Dog. The film, which was shot here, was nominated for 12 Oscars at yesterday's ceremony. Our producer Matthew Theunissen spoke with one of the Power of the Dog's key architects, Chloe Smith, who was the film's co-producer and line producer. She explained the role that New Zealand staff had in the production. And while we're all delighted about Aotearoa's own Dame Jane taking out the best director category ... the moment that got the world talking was a short act called The Pursuit of Slappyness, featuring Chris Rock's cheek being slapped by Will Smith who had marched onto the stage after the comedian made a joke about his wife's shaved head. Nathan Rarere discussed the incident with industry insider Geoff Houtman.
