Auckland GPs say they're getting burnt out as they pick up extra patients who've been unable to be seen at emergency departments Twenty-seven clinics opened for free appointments in east and south Auckland at the weekend, with Counties Manukau DHB paying them 350-dollars per patient to help ease the pressure on Middlemore Hospital's emergency department. One of the clinics taking part is Papatoetoe Family Doctors, which is part of the Health Hub in Papatoetoe. One of the doctors there is Dr Karl Cole. Nathan Rarere asked him how the scheme is going.
