Residents call on Auckland Council to step up

There are growing calls for the government to consider a managed-retreat from flood-prone areas in west Auckland. But, as that could take years to implement, some residents are asking Auckland Council to step up. They say waterways in the area aren't being properly maintained, and that this caused much of the flooding during recent storms. Our producer Mahvash Ikram took a trip to Ranui in West Auckland.
