Second AK harbour crossing - what do Aucklanders think?

From First Up, 5:52 am on 31 March 2023

Options for a new crossing Harbour over Auckland's Waitemata were announced by the Governement yesterday. Having been talked about for as long as many of us can remember, Transport Minister Michael Wood said that work on a new crossing will begin in 2029. But first, Aucklanders need to choose from the five options that have been put forward. These include tunnels for light rail and traffic with space allocated on the existing harbour bridge for cyclists and pedestrians; or an entirely new bridge for traffic, light rail, walking and cycling. The five options are variations of these possibilities, and along different routes. Down near Auckland's viaduct, locals were intruiged by the idea of a second crossing.
