NZ has major shortage of HRT medicines
70 per cent of women aged between 45 and 55 suffer significant symptoms from menopause. It goes way beyond hot flushes - there are mood swings, night sweats, aching muscles, sleep problems, anxiety and depression. Good news is that hormone replacement therapy - HRT works for many - the bad news is that New Zealand is suffering a major shortage of Estrodot patches - the most common treatment.
