Parliament's adjourned for the weekend, back on Tuesday at 2pm; Environment Minister Nick Smith launches debate on the Government's long-awaited legislation reforming the Resource Management Act: the Resource Management Amendment Bill - which eventually passes first reading by 92 votes to 14 - the National Party joined by Labour and the Maori Party to send the bill to select committee for consideration. The bill was notably opposed by United Future's Peter Dunne along with ACT and the Greens. New Zealand First meanwhile abstained from the vote; TVNZ bosses up before Select Committee for annual review; Government faces questions on Climate Change.
