10:20  Gun owners respond to gun register proposal 

Major reforms to New Zealand's gun laws were flagged in the wake of the Christchurch mosque shootings, with the details announced by the Prime Minister today.

They include a national firearms register and stricter rules around obtaining - and keeping - a firearms licence.

The secretary for the Council of Licensed Firearms Owners, Nicole McKee, speaks about gun owners' response to the latest proposed changes to New Zealand's gun laws.

10:30  Health officials help explain medicinal cannabis scheme 

Information workshops about making a proposal for the Medicinal Cannabis Scheme are being held in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch this week and next.

The Ministry of Health wants both industry and consumers to hear more about the Medicinal Cannabis Scheme with the opportunity to ask questions that may help to inform their submissions on the Ministry's consultation document.

Chris House is a Principal Advisor with the Ministry of Health, and speaks with Karyn after tonight's workshop.
