10:20 Evacuations in Southland
People evacuated from the Southland towns of Mataura and Wyndham have not been allowed to return home tonight, because the flood risk is still too high.
The Government has declared the flooding in Southland and Otago an adverse event, opening the way for extra support to be offered to farmers and growers.

10:30 Evacuees from Wuhan land in Auckland
Evacuated passengers from Wuhan are being quarantined at a military base north of Auckland after landing at Auckland Airport tonight.
There were 193 people on board the Air New Zealand flight from Wuhan, the epicentre of the novel coronavirus outbreak including 23 Australian nationals.
Bryan speaks with RNZ News reporter MacKenzie Smith who was at Auckland Airport when the Ministry of Health announced the plane's arrival.

Tonight, the Black Caps are playing India in Hamilton in the first one-day cricket international in Hamilton.
At first India was piling on the runs against New Zealand after they were sent in to bat after losing the toss.
