The partial sale of the All Blacks brand took another step today with the New Zealand Rugby AGM giving it their unanimous support. The completion of the deal could still be some time off. Crusaders Rugby CEO, Colin Mansbridge supports the deal.
10:30 The hunt for glyphosate use in New Zealand
The Environmental Protection Authority is doing a nationwide stock take on the use of the herbicide glyphosate, commonly used in Roundup. The weed killer has been used by home gardeners, farmers and councils since the 1970s and the authority says there are 89 mixtures approved for use in this country. It wants information from New Zealanders, including industry and the general public, about the manufacture, importation, and patterns of use of glyphosate in this country. Tonight we're looking at a significant moment in New Zealand's defence history - the ANZUS treaty, which came into effect on the 29th of April 1952. Signed by Australia, New Zealand and the United States it recognised that an armed attack in the Pacific area on one member would endanger the peace and safety of the others.
