Storing whakapapa online
A new online tool, Ahau, has been developed to enable Maori to store information about their ancestry. Kaye-Maree Dunn is the founding director of Ahau and says information about whakapapa is tapu and needs to be handled carefully. She says the company would also like to see other indigenous communities around the world adopt the software.
