Ever Present, First Peoples Art of Australia opens in Auckland

The largest collection of First People's art to be presented in Aotearoa opens at Toi o Tāmaki, Auckland Art Gallery. Two of the artists, Christopher Pease, a descendant of the Minang/Noongar people of Western Australia and Dr r e a who's a descendant of the Gamilaraay/Wailwan and Biripi peoples of New South Wales join Māpuna today. And with them is the curator of Ever Present Tina Baum, from the Gulumirrgin Wardaman/Karajarri peoples of the Northern Territory and Western Australia.

Moss Te Ururangi Patterson, Ngāti Tūwharetoa, is the Chief Executive and Artistic Director of the New Zealand Dance Company which starts its first mainstage tour since the COVID-19 pandemic next month.
