Churches with links to the US are being blamed for spreading lies about Covid-19, with Auckland community leaders saying they're struggling to stem this flow of misinformation.
A sociologist also says Covid misinformation is stemming from far-right groups and some fringe political leaders within New Zealand.
Kate Hannah is a cultural historian at Te Pūnaha Matatini and is leading a research project investigating disinformation and Covid-19.
She spoke with Māni Dunlop.
