The cost of re-instating Christchurch's Anglican cathedral has sky-rocketed, increasing nearly 50 percent to $154 million.
In 2017, the rebuild cost was originally estimated to be $104 million.
This morning the church's reinstatement plan was unveiled, which includes a new visitors centre and a cathedral museum.
