New Zealand now has agreements to purchase enough Covid-19 vaccines for every New Zealander and its Pacific partners.
The Prime Minister, Jacinda Ardern, today announced the government has secured pre-purchase deals for another two vaccines, from pharmaceutical companies AstraZeneca and Novavax.
Together, those two new deals will mean there's vaccine doses for more than nine million people.
The government already has pre-purchase agreements with Pfizer/BioNTech and Janssen.
Māni Dunlop spoke to the Minister of Research, Science and Innovation, Megan Woods, about the new deals.
