Covid-19 capital incursion
All options are on the table as health officials begin testing, tracing, and responding to a trans-Tasman bubble incursion in the capital. A traveller from Sydney who arrived in Wellington on Saturday morning, has tested positive for Covid-19. They started showing symptoms early on Monday morning before they hopped on their plane back to Australia. Genome sequencing and contact tracing are underway; but in the meantime, Epidemiologist Michael Baker says it's best to assume it's the more transmissable delta variant.
