Taliban labels interpreters 'infidels', NZ considers options
The Taliban have taken over Afghanistan's capital, Kabul. Many in the war-experienced country are now trying to flee the insurgents. Security has fallen over at Kabul's main airport, where countless people are on the tarmac trying to get on planes leaving the country. Today, New Zealand's Cabinet is discussing how to help Afghan interpreters, who helped the Defence Force, to get out of Afghanistan. Earlier, our reporter Katie Doyle, spoke to Raza Khadim, who is part of the Afghan Veteran Interpreters Association of New Zealand. He says they're all very worried about the unbelievable situation in Afghanistan, and fear the consequences of the Taliban's oppressive rule.
