Three police officers shot yesterday in West Auckland and another hit by a fleeing car.
Violence in parts of the city seems to be rising - the police union is raising concerns about gang violence, and the willingness of gang members to pull out their guns and use them.
A lot of people no longer feel safe - and the police union is again calling for cops to be armed.
