Dozens of protesters were arrested as tensions reached tipping point and police advanced across Parliament grounds.
The Speaker of the house this morning authorised the closure of the Parliamentary precinct.
About 100 Police then formed a line and have been slowly pushing the protesters back clearing people and tents from the grounds.
