After two weeks of protestors being illegally camped on Parliament's lawn and blocking Wellington streets, the Human Rights Commission has begun conciliatory talks with anti-mandate protestors.
There's been relative calm in the capital today, after a day of heightened tensions which caused three police require medical treatment.
Chief Commissioner Paul Hunt met with protestors yesterday afternoon, in a meeting also attended by the police, Voices for Freedom and the Freedom and Rights Coalition.
He spoke to Midday Report.
