Rocket Lab will attempt a mid-air capture of one of its Electron rockets for the first time during its next mission tomorrow.
After launching from the Mahia peninsula, the rocket will deposit a payload of 34 commerical satellites, and then the company will aim to pluck the 12-metre-tall rocket booster from the air using ropes, parachutes, and a helicopter.
Rocket Lab's Morgan Bailey spoke to Māni Dunlop.
