The Māori Party will not stand a candidate in the Tauranga by-election calling the city a hot spot for hate speech.
The Labour Party candidate for Tauranga Jan Tinetti told Māni Dunlop she was saddened by the news because everyone had the right to feel safe and that it did not reflect the city locals know.
