Horowhenua Council boss defiant over protester's water
A district council chief executive is refusing to turn the water back on at a building occupied by a Maori land protester despite health officials having told him it's illegal. David Clapperton is also resisting the demands from the mayor of Horowhenua to turn the water on. The protester Phil Taueki (toe - ee -kee) says the council is trying to force him out. The building is next to a polluted lake that's been the centre of decades of strife.
