Zimbabwe erupts in jubilation as Mugabe resigns
Robert Mugabe, 93, who has ruled over Zimbabwe for 37 years, has resigned. It comes after what was essentially a bloodless coup by the country's military, and threats of impeachment. A written statement was read out in parliament saying the resignation was voluntary and done so to ensure the smooth transition of power. The streets of the capital Harare have erupted in jubilation, and with the latest, we're joined by correspondent Erin Conway-Smith.
