Anxious Roxburgh residents watch for more rain
Roxburgh and Millers Flat residents will be casting a nervous eye skywards today with further rain and thunder forecast. The Central Otago towns were hit hard on Sunday when 40mm of rain fell in the space of just three hours on to ground made rock hard by months of dry weather. The district's mayor Tim Cadogan says the clean-up bill will be significant but he's thankful no one lost their lives in the flash flooding.
