Steven Joyce bows out of politics

After failing to win the support of his colleagues to become the National Party leader, Steven Joyce yesterday announced he's leaving politics. He says the new leader, Simon Bridges, offered him a front bench position with a choice of portfolios, but not finance. Mr Joyce says Mr Bridges should get a new team around him to help National win in 2020.
