Mayor defends $6.7m for Basin Reserve stand

The Wellington City Council has voted to spend 6 point 7 million dollars to save a 94-year-old stand at Wellington's Basin Reserve. The vote was unanimous but Councillor Brian Dawson first questioned whether it was right for the city to spend more on buildings than its people.
