Starbucks closes across US for training
Cafe chain Starbucks is closing about eight-thousand stores in the U.S today to provide one-hundred-and-seventy-five-thousand employees mandatory anti-bias training. It was sparked after two black men were arrested at a Philadelphia Starbucks in April when the store manager called police because the men were sitting in the store without buying anything. Starbucks chief executive Kevin Johnson said the incident had taken a toll on him and he was committed to fixing the situation. Joining us now from Florida, where Starbucks cafes closed about 15 minutes ago, is our correspondent Steve Mort.
