John McCain respected across political spectrum
More now on the death of US senator and former presidential candidate John McCain. The Republican had been diagnosed with an aggressive brain tumour last year. He's been remembered as a Vietnam war hero who worked hard to bridge the gap between minorities. Tara Sonenshine is the former under-state secretary for public diplomacy and public affairs in the Obama administration and now is a foreign policy expert at George Washington University. She tells Alex Perrottet about the huge respect for John McCain across party lines.
