Tension at UN between UK, Russia over Skripal poisoning
British officials faced their Russian counterparts at a UN Security Council special meeting called overnight to discuss the Salisbury novichok attack. Back in March ex-spy Sergei Skripal and his daughter Yulia were poisoned with the nerve agent Novichok. The UK ambassador Karen Pierce has accussed Russia of playing dice with the people of Salisbury. Russian ambassador Vasily Nebenzya fiercely defended Russia saying that the UK was presenting "unfounded and mendacious facts". Our correspondent in New York is William Denselow.
