Woeful representation of women on NZ's top 100 company boards
Despite talk about more diversity on boards, women represent just under a quarter of board members in the country's top 100 listed companies. The latest census was put together by Auckland University of Technology professor Judy McGregor, economist Shamubeel Eaqub and barrister Catriona MacLennan. It shows only 24 percent of board members were women, last year it was 22 pecent and in 2016 it was 20 percent. Judy McGregor says the progress towards more board diversity is glacial. She talks to Susie Ferguson.
