NZ to ban smoking in cars with children

New Zealand will soon join several other countries and ban smoking in cars carrying children. The ban will also include vaping and will take effect late next year, after an 18 month public education campaign. Anyone caught after that could be slapped with a $50 fine, but police will have the discretion to issue a warning. Health authorities are welcoming the move, saying it could prevent hundreds of thousands of hospital admissions each year.
