On Friday morning a six-year-old Pakeha girl is being taken away from her Samoan foster parents who say they aren't allowed to keep her because they are not of 'NZ European' ethnicity.
They have looked after her for a year and repeatedly tried to be her permanent carers.
Oranga Tamariki told the family on Wednesday they would be at their home at 7am Friday to move the girl.
First Up presenter Indira Stewart spoke to the Samoa foster mother.
