Measles patient flew on NZ plane against advice

From Morning Report, 6:47 am on 14 June 2019

A person infected with measles ignored warnings to remain in isolation and flew from Auckland to Christchurch - prompting warnings other passengers may have caught it.

The Canterbury Medical Officer of Health says an infected person flew to Christchurch on a Jetstar flight last Thursday afternoon and then returned to Auckland two days later. The flights are JQ237 and JQ236.

Dr Alistair Humphrey speaks to RNZ reporter Tom Furley.
