South Dunedin properties will be evacuated this morning as the Defence Force's bomb squad assesses a potentially dangerous chemical.
It may be blown up, as the owners of the building are concerned the chemical has become unstable.
The shift manager of the Fire Southern Communications Centre,
Andrew Norris, told our reporter Jordan Bond the Defence Force will get its first look at the situation shortly.
