Bullying in NZ police described as widespread mental abuse

From Morning Report, 7:09 am on 9 September 2019

A long-serving police officer has spoken out about the bullying he's suffered at work - calling it a form of mental abuse which is widespread. The officer cannot be identified but is one of 21 people from across the police force who've spoken to RNZ about a culture of bullying. What's more, staff members aren't making official complaints because of fears that the information will go straight back to their bully, making matters worse. RNZs police reporter, Ben Strang, has been working on this story for the past year and speaks with Susie Ferguson.
