Legal voluntary euthanasia about choice, says David Seymour
MPs have voted to give the public the final say on whether to legalise voluntary euthanasia. The End of Life Choice member's bill, in the name of ACT leader David Seymour, would allow adults with a terminal illness to request a lethal injection to end their lives. 63 MPs were in favour of putting the question to a referendum at next year's general elections, with 57 against. But before that can happen, the legislation still needs to pass its third and final reading in Parliament next month. Philippa speaks to David Seymour in our Wellington studio.
