Rules likely to be relaxed over political attack ads
The Labour Party has been labelled a "dinosaur" for trying to keep some restrictions in place around political attack ads in an occasionally fractious hearing at Parliament. Both Labour and National laid out their arguments to a committee of MPs yesterday - in a bid to end an on-going dispute over the use of Parliament TV in their advertising. Both parties want the rules relaxed - but disagree over exactly how far to go. RNZ's deputy political editor Craig McCulloch has this report.
