When do cartoons cross the line?

From Morning Report, 6:46 am on 6 December 2019

Where is the line when it comes to cartoons?

Three different papers owned by separate media companies have crossed that invisible red line this week.

It began with the Otago Daily Times making light of the measles epidemic in Samoa - the paper has since apologised amid protests outside its office.

Then in the Dominion Post a cartoon featured David Seymour getting kissed on the cheek by a member of the KKK and Hitler.

And in Wednesday's Herald - a Nazi officer with a chainsaw stalks among the severed stumps of trees on Mt Albert.

That was the final straw for the Holocaust Centre of New Zealand.

Its chief executive Chris Harris speaks to Kim Hill.
