The opposition is putting pressure on the Government to go into Alert Level 2 ahead of today's Cabinet meeting.
Today Cabinet will decide whether the country will be able to move from Level 3 into Level 2 this week.
National's finance spokesperson Paul Goldsmith told political reporter Charlie Dreaver the party has been pushing for the country to go into Alert Level 2 for weeks.
