The Civil Defence in Tolaga Bay are warning more rain expected this afternoon could cause even more problems for the region.
The beach in Uawa is strewn with logs and debris from forestry operations up in the hills.
Slash was washed onto the beach over the weekend after a metre of rain fell in 24 hours and more could be on the way as the waters continue to rise.
