Rats, possums, stoats and weasels in the capital city are on notice.
Predator Free Wellington has been granted nearly $8 million of government funding and says the cash can fast-track a goal to rid itself of the introduced pests completely - within five years.
James Wilcocks, the project director for Predator Free Wellington, says the target is realistic and can show the way for the rest of the country.
