NZ needs to look for alternatives to seclusion and restraint - Chief Human Rights Commissioner

The Human Rights Commission is telling prisons, young people's residences and health and disability units, to stop using seclusion and restraint - or at the very least to cut down on the practice.

A new report from the Commission says seclusion and restraint are used too often, for too long, and more frequently against Maori and Pacific Peoples.

The Chief Human Rights Commissioner Paul Hunt speaks to Susie Ferguson.
