Prince Phillip, the Duke of Edinburgh, was laid to rest early on Sunday morning in a dignified funeral ceremony that honoured his lifetime of service to the crown and to his wife, Queen Elizabeth the second.
The funeral captured widespread attention in the UK but there are some who believe the low-key nature of the ceremony, in a near-empty St George's chapel, reflects aptly on a Monarchy whose status, some say, is withering in contemporary society.
