The mother of an autistic boy says she is heartbroken that her son's school has decided to exclude him, despite the intervention of the Children's Commissioner.
The thirteen-year-old was suspended after a fight and the school's board last week resolved to kick him out.
The boy has previously been excluded from other schools and his case goes to the heart of a debate about the amount of support schools get to work with children with challenging behaviour.
The boy's mother told our education correspondent, John Gerritsen, the school was not willing to change the way it worked.
