Kiwi trapped in Melbourne excited to fly home

From Wednesday next week, New Zealanders stranded in Melbourne by the region's lockdown will be able to catch flights back to Aotearoa and not have to quarantine.

They will, however, need a negative Covid-19 test within seventy-two hours of flying.

Kim Tairi, a librarian from Tamaki Makaurau, booked the first available flight home.

She spoke to Susie Ferguson.
