Shipping delays causing problems for fruit growers

It's a red-hot market out there for apples but shipping delays and capacity constraints mean exporters are struggling to move their fruit.

Some big shipping lines have ditched coming to Australia and New Zealand, instead sticking with more profitable routes such as US to China.

Cool storage facilities are hitting capacity while businesses try to find space on ships when and where they can.

Te Mata Exports executive director Murray Tait spoke to Guyon Espiner.
