RSV: Infectious disease expert running vaccine trial

A vaccine is being trialed to help combat RSV - the dangerous respiratory virus that is affecting babies across the country.

The virus is potentially fatal, and Starship in Auckland is postponing surgeries to make room for an influx of children needing treatment.

Paediatric infectious disease specialist Tony Walls from the University of Otago is running a trial to help prevent the virus. He's looking for babies for a second vaccine trial.

He spoke to Susie Ferguson.
