Covid-19: Pharmacist needs to offload flu vaccines

A pharmacy on the Coromandel Peninsula's calling on its community to get jabbed against the flu to make more space for Covid-19 vaccines in its freezers.

The Tairua-Pauanui Pharmacy, on the Peninsula's eastern coast, has about a quarter of its inoculation fridge full of leftover influenza jabs and put a call out on social media for people to book in.

Pharmacist Aidan Kortegast spoke to reporter Jake McKee, and told him people should be making the most of being able to access effective vaccines.
