While their big city neighbours have been allowed to switch down to level three, those in northern Hauraki are being asked to isolate at home until at least Friday.
It follows three positive cases stemming from a prisoner being released in to the area on bail.
The stay at home order extends to anybody who travelled in to the area since September the eighth, a period covering almost two weeks.
